the culture of the modern society
knowing the dichotomy of modernity and tradition,
is it a challenge for our generation today?
knowing that things dont come easy
and yet the pull of temptation,
is that what we are built to struggle?
the things we act on
and the things we input on paper.
do they seem bipolar or just plain psychotic?
the things we preach
and the inner desires of human nature
are they of various personae
or just the same person with a wicked taste for the other side?
knowing that life is unfair,
accepting it on face value,
but battling for a better one for your life,
is that what you call a better life?
or does having a better life means accepting your due course and take what comes along.
stressing over the material things in life,
is that what we have been resorted to?
money concerns, financial matters, monetary insecurities
the culture of wanting, yearning and spending.
the mindless spending.
the false consciousness of the term 'life's like that, deal with it'
is life really like that?
or is it just how we are taught to perceive it?
is culture is inherently inborn?
by saying you were of poor upbringing, does it mean you werent taught how to be socially integrated?
what defines poor upbringing? the notion of not having what others possess?
lacking in the realms of cultural capital, does it put you several notches lower?
if that is the case, no wonder everyone likes the underdog, the penniless guy who gets famous after someone's discovered his voice, or the poor matchstick girl.
isnt that discrimination itself? the perceived fact that people cant make it due to their social circumstances, that once these group of people get themselves out of their hellhole, they deserve more of a recognition.

Comparisons are easily done
Once you've had a taste of perfection
